Chapel Sessions music welcomes London-based singer-songwriter Ben Somers plus ‘the Growling Old Men- Ben Winship (mandolin, bazouki & vocals) & John Lowell (guitar & vocals) to perform in the acoustically acclaimed Victorian Chapel, Royal Victoria Country Park, Netley on the shores of Southampton Water. ben-somers.com growlingoldmen.com
The Growling Old Men – Ben Winship & John Lowell, they’re not old, nor do they growl very much. What they do is play acoustic music on mandolin, guitar, octave mandolin and vocals. Playing an eclectic mix of music including bluegrass, Americana, folk, swing, and original songs, these guys have made fans of their music everywhere they go.
We are lucky to have secured Ben Somers, a saxophonist/bass player/singer songwriter prolifically performing in London who will join Ben and John on stage giving the evening a unique and memorable mix.
Support to be announced.
